Dr. Yi-Lun Ying visited our biobuilder club.
Today Dr.Ying Yilun, an eminent scientist, and Melissa Hu, trendy scholar
from Oxford University visited WanYuan. Instead of surrounded by intense
academic aura, the forum concentrated on their interesting story to success
and giving suggestions to students who wants to pursue their dreams.
"Being a scientist doesn't mean you need to be a Straight A student."
Ying emphasized the process of finding her interests -- Chemistry.
"In my middle school and my high education, I'm always willing to try novel
things, no matter it's about Chinese traditions, Science or other skills. The
college is where you start to ignite the spark of ideas."
Melissa studied in SUIS system. With extraordinary academics strength, she now enrolls in the Oxford University.
Some students are confused with distrubution of time when facing heavy
works everyday.
"Although I just prepared for my SAT only for months, but I don't suggest that.
Ideally you may start preparing for it, gain some momentum one year ago.
This also different from people to people. But never forget what you really love
instead of just want that 'grade.'"
